This unusual Dao sword is most probably coming from assam, very early 20C. Longer than usual beveled blade 14 1/2 inches long 4 inches wide at the tip. forged in one piece with a long socket engraved with geometrical design. A polished hardwood was inserted to the socket used as a handle with a ball shaped pommel. Total length 26 inches. very good condition.
