Up for sale is this very fine Shashqa from Kubachi, Deghastan, early 20 C. The fullered blade is 32 inches long with gold inlaid inscription. Chased nielloed and gilded handle and scabbard with carved ivory plaques inserts inlaid with gold. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. small age cracks on the handle silver. An old repair on one of the scabbard sectors. A fine and impressive item.
