This large sword / machete is reminding the Panabas swords from the Philippines. It has however an unusual shape. Curved heavy blade, somewhat crudely forged, 19 inches long and 4 inches wide at the tip. Large up-curving wood handle. The blade is held in place with bands of braided rattan and metal wires (a later addition). Total length 29 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Impressive item.
