This very good knife is probably a conversion of an earlier pole arm. China, Late 19C. Relatively heavy blade 8 1/2 inches long, finely fullered and with classical shaped brass inserts. Filed spine. The blade is marked with Latin numbers (may be a later addition). Whole steel faceted handle. Later simple wood scabbard bound with thread and old fabric strip. Total length 12 1/2 inches. Very good condition.
