The Wedung is a short heavy court knife from Java, Indonesia. It is characterize by the short heavy blade, straight handle and a long horn hook to hook it to the belt. This one is a fine exemplar, 5 1/2 inches massive blade, steel bolster, bone handle with silver bands and wood scabbard. Black horn hook. Total length 15 inches. Very good condition. One of the scabbard binding bands is a later brass wire band.
