Rare Jodhpur Khukuri Complete w. Scabbard - 6333

In 1914 the Maharaja of Jodhpur (Rajasthan, India) sponsored the supply of a special Khukuri knife to the Jodhpur Imperial Service Lancers of the Fourth Cavalry Division of the British army fighting in the French / German border and later on under the command of General Kenig In Palestine against the Turkish army.
Here is an example of this rare Khukuri knife. 13 inches plain and blued blade slotted into a cast Aluminum grip. Wood scabbard covered with black leather, opened at the top to allow fast withdraw of the blade. Total length in scabbard 19 inches. No marking. Good condition. Few shallow scratches on the blade surface. Slightly worn and cracked leather. Frog missing and belt loop damaged. A very rare military Khukuri. |
