Up for sale is this very fine Vietnamese saber also known as Guom. The single edged grooved blade is slightly curved, engraved in a classical Vietnamese style, 28 inches long. The hilt is composed of wood covered with tortoise shell with silver lion head pommel and copper silver cross guard and D guard inlaid with silver in a beautiful pattern. The scabbard is wood also covered with tortoise shell with fine chased silver fittings. Total length 37 inches. Very good condition. A very fine piece.
