Up for sale is this very fine Vietnamese saber also known as Guom. The single edged grooved blade is slightly curved, engraved in a classical Vietnamese style, 29 inches long. The hilt is very finely carved ivory grip and copper silver cross guard and D guard inlaid with silver in a beautiful pattern. The scabbard is wood with fine chased silver fittings and inlaid in an intricate pattern and inscription of Chinese poem of Mother of Pearl decoration. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. A very fine piece.
