Up for sale is this very good Vietnamese saber also known as Guom. The single edged fullered blade is slightly curved 26 inches long (probably cut from a European military sword). The hilt is composed of an ivory grip with brass lion head pommel and engraved brass cross guard and D guard The scabbard is wood with fine chased brass fittings and inlaid in an intricate pattern of Mother of Pearl decoration. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition.
