Very Good Two Handed Dah Sword Dated 1890, Burma - 6329
A Classical two handed fighting sword Dha from Burma with an exceptional quality blade. The slightly curved very heavy blade is 21 inches long, heavy, with a square tip ending with two small curvatures. The back of the spine is slightly raised. The blade is decorated with punched small dots. The grip is wood, 11 inches long bound with braided rattan rings. Wood scabbard also bound with braided rattan bands and mounted with a silver locket. The scabbard is engraved with latin inscription saying: K D Kalemyo 1890 Burmah Very good condition. The blade has very few and minor blackened spots. Few of the rattan bands on the scabbard are missing.. Sword with a superb blade of quality, intended for fighting and probably has seen some battles. Very reasonable price. |
