This very good dagger is used by the coming from west Africa. Mid 20 C. but of good quality. Blade 5 ½ inches, flat diamond cross section with 1 inch ricasso. Black wood and bone handle and brass / copper scabbard. Total length 11 inches. Very good condition. A similar dagger in the British Museum is described as coming from the Bissagos ( Bijagos) Islands, a group of islands off the coast of Guinea – Bissau, but the attribution to these islands is questionable.
