This superb Kattar push dagger is a very fine piece. Good heavy blade 10 inches long forged from Indian wootz (crystalline) Damascus steel. The blade top as well as the hilt sidebars and crossbars are chiseled with Indian gods and birds pattern heavily gilded (partly worn). The wood scabbard is covered with velvet. Total length (in scabbard) 19 ½ inches. Good condition, few blackened area and pitted spots on the blade.
