This spear is Chinese, mid - 19 C. or earlier, also known as: xiangbidao ( Elephant trunk Knife). The blade is 12 ½ inches long with engraved decoration and brass inserts. Brass collar with a decorative brass dragon head. Original heavy bamboo haft. Total length 85 inches. Very good condition. Heavily patinated blade. Dark shining age patina on the haft.
