This Large knife is coming probably from the Coorg people of Karnataka state in south west India. It reminds in a way the Pichangeti , a more common knife of the Coorg. The massive single edge blade is 14 inches long, 2 inches wide. Finely chiseled brass bolsters and ivory grips with brass mounts. Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. Very good age patina on the ivory grips. A very rare knife.
