: Very Good Palestinian / Jordanian Bedouin Dagger Shibriya Dated 1955 - 12868
A very good example of the Bedouin side dagger locally known as Shibriya. All men carry it and it is very popular between the Bedouin tribes residing in Israel and in Jordan. The blade is 6 1/2 inches, re-curving and double edged with an acute tip. The grip as well as the scabbard are covered with chased iron sheet rich with inscription in Arabic letters, dated to 1955 and set with colored stones (Glass ?) . Total length 11 ½ inches. Very good condition. Scabbard cover slightly dented.. |
