This very good Takouba the sword of the Tuareg people is a late 19 - early 20 C. sword, with a double edge 32 ½ inches. The hilt is of the classical Takouba design made of steel with the cross guard covered with leather. The scabbard is finely tooled leather with wide leather hanging strips decorated with colored leather and brass buttons. Total length 38 inches. Very good condition. Minor losses and lightly open seam on the scabbard.
