The Badek (or Badik) is a knife / short sword from Java, Indonesia. It is characterized by its single edge blade with straight back, up-curving edge, and the pistol grip shape handle. This one has an early example, mid 19C. or earlier. Blade 10 inches long , very finely forged from good pamor steel. Two sectors wood handle with a styled elephant trunk (?) pommel. Total length (in scabbard) 15 inches. Very good condition.
