This Indonesian dagger in the style of an Arab Jambiya is also known as and found in Sumatra and Mentawi islands. Its curved blade is 8 inches long with pronounced central ridge and forged from pamor steel. The handle is hardwood with the pommel carved in a styled bird (Parrot?) head and with a silver collar. The scabbard is dark hardwood bound with braided rattan strips. Total length 14 inches. Very good condition. Quite a scarce item.
