This very fine large spear is Thai, late 19C. 17 ½ inches massive blade of hollow ground diamond cross section. 10 inches steel collar. Both the blade base and the collar are richly decorated with gold inlay work. Bamboo shaft narrowing toward the tail for good balance. Total length 90 ½ inches. Very good condition. Good smooth age patina on the blade. Shining untouched dark age patina on the haft. A fine and very impressive spear.
