The Talibon sword is the main battle sword of the Christian tribes of northern Philippines. The blade is curved, very heavy 15 inches long. It is forged from finely laminated steel with heat hardened edge, beveled and deadly sharp. The wood handle is finely carved and bound with braided rattan strips. Carved wood scabbard with rattan binding. Very good condition. A fine authentic, 19 C. piece.
