This is a nice Moro Barong. The Barongs heavy leaf shaped blades are known to have superior cutting abilities. This blade is 14 inches long , well made from with hardened edge. The hilt is carved from nice grained wood , in a classical form, bound to the blade tang with bands of braided cotton and white metal ring. The scabbard is dark colored grained wood bound with rattan and has two large mother of peal engraved plaques. Very good condition. this Barong is mid 20C made. A well made sword for very low price.
