This massive Indian Khanda sword is characterized by the heavy down curving Sousson Pata shaped blade, resembling the blade of the Turkish Yataghan sword. This one has a heavy blade 30 inches long, forged from very fine wootz (Damascus) steel with very clear pattern on the entire blade. The handle is chiseled steel, with D guard decorated with gold (worn). Original wood scabbard covered with black leather with braided silver strip seam. Total length 39 inches. Good condition. An impressive 18C real fighting word.
