Very fine blade, wootz (Damascus, watered) steel, 9 inches long, double reinforced edges. The ricasso is chiseled with hunting scene in a classical Persian style. Walrus handle with silver mounts. Leather covered scabbard with chased silver mounts. The top of the scabbard and the pommel are both decorated with small turquoise stones. Total length 14 ½ inches. Very good condition. The blade is Persian but the narrow style of the handle and the turquoise stones may suggest a Central Asian origin.
