This fine Khanjar / Jambiya dagger is Persian, Qajar period, early 19C. A fine exemplar of the Qajar period steel work and decoration. Blade 12 inches (larger than the common 8 -9 inches specimen). Finely chiseled and decorate with gold inlay work. The handle and scabbard are whole steel work, very nicely chiseled with dense floral pattern and decorated with gold inlay work. Total length 20 inches. Very good condition. Very impressive dagger.
