We offer for sale this very fine quality and ornate Tibetan Dagger. It has a stiletto shaped blade forged from laminated steel 8 1/2 inches long. Gilded copped grip finely pierced and engraved. Silver pommel cap and scabbard finally pierced and engraved and set with many small turquoise stones and partially gilded. The quality of the workmanship is very high. Total length 16 1/2 inches. very good condition. This dagger was collected in the 1904 Tibet Expedition led by Colonel Francis Younghusband, effectively a temporary invasion by British Indian forces to Tibet.
