This beautiful Indo-Persian armor set It is composed of a Dhal a round shield and a Kulah Khud (helmet). The shield is 18 1/2 inches in diameter, made of steel and finely chiseled with very detailed floral design. The shield edge is of brass. The helmet is 7 ½ inches in diameter and 11 inches high with a top spike, nasal protector and a ring mail collar. Total height with the mail collar is 23 inches. It is chiseled in floral design “en-suite” with the shield. An original pair in very good condition, with minor dents on the shield and few blackened areas of worn and minor pitted steel. Two of the steel bosses are slightly damaged and pierced. All together a beautiful set, a prized addition for any oriental weapon collection.
