This is a short Chinese straight sword Jian from the early 20 C. The straight blade of flat diamond cross section is 16 inches long. Ribbed wood grip, beautifully engraved brass fitting and brown-yellow tortoise shell like scabbard cover. Total length 22 inches. Very good plus condition.
