This very fine long gun is coming from Algeria. It is characterized by the long Miquelet lock with a safety catch and the dense silver and coral decoration. 57 ½ inches long and heavy barrel signed on its lower side: MARLEY CARTERON (?) and a maker stamp. The lock is in good working order, with very strong spring, finely chiseled and dated 1181 ( 1767 in the Gregorian calendar) . Original ramrod with chased silver mounts. Total length 73 ½ inches. Very good condition. Very fine and rare gun.
