Here is a British Cavalry sword model 1796 (?) made in Solingen by J. J. Runkel for the British army. It has a nice gilded D guard handle with lion head pommel and ivory grips. 32 1/2 inches long blade engraved with coat of arms, martial trophies and foliage. Total length 37 1/2 inches. One langet is missing a piece, we don't know what it was.
