The Talibon sword is the main battle sword of the Christian tribes of northern Philippines. The blade is down curving, 13 1/2 inches long with the sharp edge at the convex side. The handle is carved horn with large brass collar . Beautifully Carved decorated and pierced wood scabbard. Total length 18 inches. Very good condition. This is a rare and unusual form for this type of swords. It is late 19c or early 20th. The scabbard is later.
