This heavy “monstrous” sword is Indian, mid 19C. Some times referred to as Tegha. Heavy uprising blade 26 inches long 3 ½ inches wide, with a strong T spine and a 9 inches back edge. The handle is in a Khanda style cup handle with traces of silver plating and with a 3 ½ inches pommel spike. Total length 33 inches. Very good condition. Excellent un touched age patina on the blade clean of any pitting signs. No scabbard. Some comments suggests that such sword were used for execution, but we do not have any evidence for it.
