Fine 19 C. French / Spanish Navaja Knife - 12334


A Spanish folding knife known also as Navaja . It was extensively used in Spain during the 18 and 19 Centuries to cut food as well as to settle personal accounts, and found as a man best companion still today. This one is a 19 Century probably made in France for the Spanish market. Blade is finely etched on both sides: Viva Espana on one face and Recuerdo on the other. 7 ½ inches blade with a 4 ½ inches clipped tip. Handle set with bone and horn panels and brass fittings. Total length 16 inches fully opened. Very good condition.
