Whole Steel Persian Kindjal / Qama with Beautiful Etching Design - 6254

This unusual whole steel Kindjal / Qama dagger is made in the classical style of the early 19 C. Persian Qajar work. The dual edge blade is 15.5 inches long, decorated with panels etched with Arabic inscriptions, and with gold / silver koftgari boundries. The handle as well as the scabbard are made and decorated in a similar style. ALL steel parts blade, hilt and scabbard are also very delicately etched in a pattern imitating Damascus steel. It is so fine that it is hardly seen in the close ups. Very good condition. A small dent at the top of the pommel. The imitated Damascus etching on the scabbard and hilt is partly age worn. A unique piece, by all standards. |
