This fine and rare Tibetan long sword (Ke-Tri) is early – mid 19 C. The heavy blade is 29 inches long. It is forged from laminated steel folded at the tip of the blade (Hair pin folding) . Steel handle and cross guard with the grip bound with twisted silver wires and the pommel set with amethyst cabochon stone. Scabbard of heavy steel frame with finely chased silver panels and steel belt rings, set with coral stones. Original leather carrying attachment (One side torn). Total length 39 inches. Very good condition . Very impressive rare sword.
