This Yemenite Jambiya dagger is also know as Thouma and it is carried mostly by high ranking peoples in the Yemenite society. The blade is wide, double edged with a pronounced central rib 9 inches long and 3 inches wide. The handle is carved from rhino horn set with iron nails and imitation brass coins. The scabbard is large gilded silver pierced work. This Jambiya comes with its original wide belt adorned with gilded silver accessories. Total length of belt 35 inches. Very good condition. Very good and dark age patina on the grip. Small damage repairs on the tip of the scabbard. Rare and authentic Jambiya from the early 20 C.
