This double blade spear head is Persian, late Qajar period, late 19C. The blades are 12 inches long, etched in a typical Qajar style decoration of Arabic inscriptions, snakes and devil faces. The socket is etched in a pattern to imitate twisted steel. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. It might be that this spear head was also used as an Alam (Battle standard).
