This heavy “monstrous” sword is Indian, mid 19C. It is of unusual great size: Blade 33 inches long 4 inches wide, re curving, with a strong t spine and a 13 inches back edge. The blade is marked with “sun” face and engraved on the spine with an armory catalog marking. The handle is in a Khanda style cup handle with a 4 inches pommel spike. Total length 41 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. Some comments suggests that such sword were used for execution, but we do not have any evidence for it.
