Very Good Kampilan Sword of the T’boli People, Philippines - 12138
Up for sale is this rare version of the Kampilan sword from the Philippines. This version of sword is common to the T’boli group, an old indigenous people living in Cotabato area, south west of Mindanao island. The blade is straight, 18 inches long, widening toward the tip with down curving filed spine . The handle is cast brass decorated with many small copper chains. Wood scabbard covered with braided colored threads and colored beads, ending with brass tubes with tufts of hair. Total length 28 inches. Very good condition. |
