This rare form of Yataghan, with the lobed pommel is usually attributed as North African, probably Algeria. Well forged down curving long blade, 27 inches long finely decorated with gold inlaid inscriptions in Arabic letters. The grips are horn and the grip strap and bolsters are silver. The scabbard is whole silver very finely chased. Total length 35 inches. Very good and complete condition. Very Impressive Sword.
