This MANDAU (sometimes also called “Parang Ihlang”) is early 20 C. vintage with alarger than average and heavy 24 inches blade with a convex / concave cross section and finely chiseled and engraved. The handle is “L” shaped, carved from wood, with the grip bound with Rattan strips. Wood scabbard beautifully carved and bound with rattan strips. Total length 31 inches. Very good condition.
