This Jambiya dagger is Yemenite, coming from South Yemen and known also as Hejaz Jambiya. It is late 19 - early 20 C. Massive blade with pronounced central rib 8 inches long. Handle of rhino horn of very dark color and with silver mounts. Wood scabbard covered with tooled leather. Total length 13 inches. This dagger comes with its leather belt decorated with silver filigree “stars” and small silver belts. Very good condition. Blackened spots and very minor pitted spots on the blade.
