This MANDAU (sometimes also called “Parang Ihlang”) is a late 19- earl 20 C. vintage with a heavy 18 inches blade with a convex / concave cross section. The handle is “L” shaped, carved from what looks as old bone with very good color, bound with braided brass wires, . Wood scabbard beautifully carved and painted green and yellow, and bound with colored rattan strips. Total length 25 inches. Very good condition.
