A very good and old Kaskara sword from the south Sudan Area, late 19C. The blade is 35 inches long, fullered and marked with the classical lunar face on both sides. The handle is wood covered with leather strips. Leather covered scabbard. Total length 43 ½ inches. Very good condition. Nicely patinated blade with minor edge nicks. The bans for carrying belt are missing. The quality of the blade and stamping suggest a European origin of the blade.
