This short yataghan sword is most probably of Greek origin, mid 19 C. The straight blade is 16 inches long. The grips are ivory with very big pommel ears. Nielloed silver grip strap and bolsters. Fine niello silver scabbard with a decorative mouth and tip. Total length 24 inches. Very good condition. Blade scratched in several places. Small stain on the right grip.
