A beautiful Jambiya Dagger from East Turkey / North Iraq used by the Kurdish people residing in this region. Late 19 C. The blade is 10 inches long (point to point) curved and double edge with a central rib. It is forged from fine wootz (Watered, Damascus) steel with high contrast pattern. The hilt is “I” shaped cut from horn and set with four silver filigree domes two of them set with red stones. The scabbard is made of heavy silver in a typical Kurd style. Total length in scabbard is 18 inches. Very good condition. Minor dents on the silver.
