This Billao dagger is early 20 Century and comes from the coastal people of Somalia. It has a classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 10 ½ inches long 2 ½ inches wide. The handle is made of two ivory sectors separated by layers of horn and brass. The pommel cap is silver. Original hide scabbard and leather belt. Total length 18 inches. Very good condition. Blackened spots and edge nicks on the blade.
