Very Good Central Asian Quadara Sword with Twisted Steel Blade - 11857


This sword is of Central Asian origin mid 19 C. It has a massive 24 inches long single edge blades with a 6 inches false edge. The blade is finely fullered, forged from twisted steel (Damascus pattern welded) and marked with a deep maker mark. The grips are black Buffalo horn mounted with three rivets. Original scabbard, covered with green dyed leather with spiral stitched seam and mounted with (later) brass locket and chape. Total length 31 inches. Very good condition. Minor grinding scratches on the blade.
