Rare and Unusual 19 C. Pata Gauntlet Sword - India - 11845
The Pata Indian gauntlet Sword that was evolved from the Kattar push dagger and was in use during several centuries in India. This one is very unusual, probably mid 19 C. with a massive, single/ double edge blade 35 inches long. The hand gauntlet is made of brass shaped like a dragon head and painted red and gold. Total length 49 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. A scarce, unique and impressive item.
