We offer here for sale a a long Barong sword with heavy leaf shaped blade, known to have superior cutting abilities. It is a good Moro Barong, from the early 20 C. with a 20 inches blade, (longer than the usual 14 inches blades), forged from laminated steel and with a swollen cross section. The hilt is carved from a beautiful grained wood in a very classical form, with a long brass collar and rattan band. The scabbard is wood bound with three Rattan bands. Total length 27 inches (in scabbard). Very good condition. Minor dents on the edge and repaired cracks on the scabbard. A small wood chip from the pommel. Altogether a very impressive piece of weaponry at a very low price.
