The Pulwar is the Afghan relative of the Indian Tulwar. The Pulwar hilt has a very distinct shape, with down curving quillons. The one offered here for sale is a very good heavy fighting sword, well forged blade from Laminated steel, nicely fullered and marked with a maker sign (worn, just below the right quillon). 26 inches long, 1 ½ inches wide and with a 9 inches raised back edge. The steel handle is of classical shape with a half ball shaped pommel. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. No scabbard. Very good fighting sword.
